Sarah White

Sarah is a family law specialist with many years of experience in all areas of family law. Her practice at Malley & Co is principally in the area of relationship property, which includes both the protection of assets prior to and during a relationship and the division of assets when a relationship ends, including dealing with assets owned personally and by companies and trust owned property. Her recent cases have included: trust-related issues; matters involving detailed and complex financial disclosure; issues of non-disclosure; and valuing complex business structures.

Sarah’s family law experience also includes day-to-day care and contact disputes. Her cases regularly require appearances in the Family Court in Christchurch.

Prior to joining Malley & Co Sarah spent a number of years in practice in London where she specialised in family law. Many of the cases she worked on involved complex financial issues, often representing clients from the media and entertainment industries, as well as bankers, lawyers, accountants and directors of global financial institutions. She regularly appeared in the Family Court and High Court in London.

Sarah has also been involved in a number of mediation cases and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including Collaborative Law.

Sarah is a member of the Family Courts Association and the Family Law Section of the New Zealand Law Society
